Beginning of Day 

As I rise up from bed, pushing my bedding back

Stretching as I sat up, swinging my feet to the floor

Rising my hands to heaven, thanking my Heavenly Father

For the pleasant sleep in the night. 

Lord, my God, I need You.

Let this day be a beginning of devoting my day with You.

Let my thought be on You all the day long.

Continue to fill my heart with Your precious love.

That I may distribute it to thine saints.

Let Your love fill me

That there would be no room for anything else 

Help me, to walk in thine Spirit all the day long.

Help me, to die to my flesh daily.

Help me not to satisfy my flesh

For my flesh can not glory in thine presence.

Walking in thine Spirit is so pleasing unto You. 

Help me to pick up my cross daily.

For you have said, “your yoke is easy.”

Help me to learn from You.

When I am unable to bear my cross.

There you are to help me to carry my cross.

Teach me to follow You, as I begin this day.

Where have you gone? 

In the beginning, I was surrounded by thine glory.

As a child, I was constantly nurtured by thine presences.

If I did not feel Your Presences,

My heart and soul and spirit begin to panic.

I would cry out to You, “Where have You gone?

What have I done?  Why are You hiding Your face from me?”

I cannot stand to be alone! 

Am at the point of throwing a tantrum.

Then You would speak to me,

Saying “get into the WORD and there I AM is with you.”

I’d read the WORD and You would speak to me through Your WORD.

After awhile the WORD become just empty words.

Then I’d cry out to You again,

“Don’t leave me!  I need You!”

“Why do You continue to leave me?” 

I’d be alright for a few days,

Then I start to panic again.

I would pace the floor back and forth,

Crying to You from the depth of my heart and spirit.

I would walk from room to room, seeking You.

As I was walking into a room, I felt an electricity flow through me.

I’d look around the door frame,

To see if there be any loose wire dangling, but to find none.

Then I’d laugh because I knew it was thine power. 

It was in these dry spell moments,

I would cling to Your WORD and meditate on them.

Your presences became Your visitations to me.

And I would treasure every one of Your visitations.

In the time of Your distant to me,

I believe, You were testing me,

To see what I will do, would I run back in to the world,

Or would I turn my back to You.

In a time of testing, I learn to trust in You and Your WORD. 

Now I am much more mature, I will continue,

 To love, to trust, to obey and to worship You.

For You have said, “You will never leave me nor forsake me.”

Now I no longer ask, “where have You gone?”

"Lord, What is it you want from me?"

As I awoke to the beginning of a brand new day,
It seemed like waves of trials kept coming my way.
Problem after problem was all I could see,
I cried out, "Lord, what is it you want from me?"

The answer that came from the One Most High,
Was nothing but a very simple reply;
It was one unexpected, but yet rang so true,
It's something He desires from me and from you.

He said, "EVERYTHING."

I want you to know Me as your Savior and Guide,
The One who will always be right there at your side.
I want you to serve Me through the good times and bad,
To sing praises to My Name whether you're happy or sad.

I want your faith to grow stronger as each day goes by,
To trust Me when there's no answers to your questions of "Why?"
To learn of My love and to feel My embrace,
When you're called to endure the hardships you face.

I want no one or nothing to take My place in your heart,
In whatever you should do, I want to take part.
Stand on My promises, let nothing cause you doubt,
In the end you will see that all things will work out.

So you see, My dear child, I want to be your all in all,
To depend on My presence when you stand or when you fall,
When you question just what is it that I want from thee?
My answer is EVERYTHING, as you are EVERYTHING to Me.

DEAR GOD:
I want to thank You for what you have already done.
I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves; I am going to thank you right now.

I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet; I am going to thank you right now. I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am going to thank you right now.
I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed; I am thanking you right now.

I am thanking you because I am alive. I am thanking you because I made it through the day's difficulties. I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.
I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do
better.

I'm thanking You because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO

When life brings you unique situations,

Where you're not sure just what to do:

Before you act, you should ask yourself.

What Would Jesus Do?

Let Christ be your guide in all of your ways.

The Savior has been in all of your shoes.

He'll teach you, help you and be by your side.

To live as you know. He would to.

JESUS

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master

He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher

He had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer

He had no army, yet kings feared Him

He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world

He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

He had no home, yet He built me a mansion

I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us

 

NOTE FROM HEAVEN

 

Dear Beloved One,

I see your loneliness and fears, your guilt and frustrations. I see your endless search for love and fulfillment. All this must be, in order for you to come to the end of your own understanding-then you can hear My voice. Listen carefully amid the noise of the world and you will hear....

 

I love you. I shed my blood for you to make you clean. Give yourself completely to Me. I created you to be just as you are, and you are lovely in My eyes. Do not criticize yourself or become depressed for not being perfect in your own eyes. In Me you have been made perfect.

 

I want you to trust Me one step, one day, one second at a time. Dwell in My power and My love and be free. Be yourself. Don't allow other people to control you. I will guide you, if you let Me, but be aware of My presence in everything. I give to you patience, love, joy, and peace. Look to me for answers for I am your Shepherd and will lead you, Follow Me only! Do not ever forget this. Listen and I will tell you My will.

Let My love flow from you and spill over to all you touch. Be not concerned with yourself-you are My responsibility. I will change you without you ever knowing it. You are to love yourself as others, simply because I love you. Take your eyes off yourself, look only to Me, I lead, I change, I create, but only when you are striving. You are mine.....Let Me have the joy of making you like Christ. Your only commands is to look to Me, and Me only, never to yourself and never to others. Do not struggle, but relax in My love.

My will is perfect; My love is sufficient. I will supply all your needs. Look only to Me.

THE LETTER

 

Dear Friend,

How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would want to talk with me too. I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you-and I waited. You never came. It hurt me-but I still love you because I am your friend.

 

I saw you sleeping last night and longed to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight upon your face. Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you! You awoke and rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain.

 

If you would only listen to me! I love you! I try to tell you in blue skies and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in leaves on the trees and breathe it in colors of flowers, shout it to you in mountain streams, give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents. My love for you is deeper than the ocean, and bigger than the biggest need in your heart! 

ASK me! Talk with me! Please don't forget me. I have so much to share with you! I won't hassle you any further. It is YOUR decision. I have chosen you and I will wait.

WHAT CAN I DO?

 

I can study God's Word, because his word is the sword of the Spirit.

I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me.

I can help other people understand God's word.

I can be a friend to those who need a friend.

I am a Christian I can tell other people about God and His Word.

I can be kind, nice and considerate to people. 

I can be a light to someone.

I can let Christ be my Guide.
